At the Cinematography Department, we pride ourselves on delivering exceptional visual storytelling experiences. With over 30 years of experience in the film and television industries, M.M. Rengaswamy brings a wealth of expertise as a renowned cinematographer, director, and scriptwriter.
M.M. Rengaswamy holds a Master’s degree in Journalism & Mass Communication, specializing in the art of capturing captivating visuals. In addition, he has earned postgraduate diplomas in Advertising and Public Relations, ensuring a well-rounded understanding of the industry.
With a specialized diploma in Film Technology, focusing on Cinematography, awarded by FTIT Chennai (a Government of Tamilnadu institution), M.M. Rengaswamy brings technical excellence to every project. His proficiency in cinematography ensures that each frame tells a compelling visual story.
Having worked on numerous feature films, television serials, documentaries, educational films, and corporate productions, M.M. Rengaswamy’s expertise is highly regarded in the industry. With credits in nine Tamil feature films, one Kannada film, and a remarkable twenty television serials aired on renowned channels such as DD, Jaya TV, Sun TV, and Raj TV, he has a proven track record of delivering high-quality visuals.
M.M. Rengaswamy’s commitment to continuous improvement led him to complete an M.Phil. in Sociology. This academic pursuit enhances his ability to capture and convey the depth of human emotions and societal dynamics through his cinematography.
Acknowledging his exceptional skills, M.M. Rengaswamy received the Best Cameraman Award for his work on the Tamil feature film SENTHURA POOVE. In recognition of his outstanding contributions to the field, he was bestowed with the prestigious “KALAIMAMANI” title by the Government of Tamil Nadu. With an extensive portfolio that includes teleserials, telefilms, documentaries, and advertisement films, M.M. Rengaswamy’s work showcases his versatility and creativity in capturing visual narratives.
